Love Heart Scones














Ingredients
8oz self raising flour
Pinch of salt
2oz butter
1oz caster sugar
4-5 fl oz milk
1 egg or milk for brushing on top


Method

  1. Add the salt to the flour.
  2. Rub the butter into the flour with your fingers until it gets crumbley.
  3. Add the sugar and stir in with a spoon.
  4. Add the milk and stir in with the spoon.
  5. Use your hands to mix the mixture until its a soft dough.
  6. Then put some flour onto your table.
  7. Flatten your dough and roll it out until its quite thick (like about 3 of your fingers).
  8. Then get your cutter and cut out the shapes and put them onto a baking tray.
  9. When you have finshed cutting out the shapes, brush the top with egg or milk.
  10. Ask a grown up to put them in the oven at 220c or 425f or Gas mark 7 for 12 to 15 minutes.

Let the scones cool down.
