Festive Bakes- 2017

Hi everyone! I metioned on my Instagram account that I would be posting recipes from my 2017 Festive bakes. This is first recipe is for my buttery, melt in the mouth biscuits. Its really simple to make and only needs 3 ingredients! Ingredients 85g unsalted butter (softened) 50g caster sugar 110g self raising flour Method 1. In a large bowl, whisk together the unsalted butter and caster sugar, until you have a fluffy, pale mixture 2. Sieve the flour into the bowl amd use a metal spoon to combine with the butter and sugar. You can then use your hands to bring everything together. 3. If the dough is dry, or not coming together, add a little milk and knead. 4. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees (gas mark 4), and put greaseproof paper onto a baking sheet. If you don't have greaseproof paper, just grease the sheet lightly with butter. 5. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the  dough to the thickness of about 1cm.
